Hello Toreagh Primary School,
From 22nd to 28th June, we will be celebrating Children’s Hospice Week - the only week in the year dedicated to raising awareness and funds for children’s hospice services across the UK.
As the only Children's Hospice in Northern Ireland, this week is especially important to us!
Our team at Children’s Hospice have refused to let COVID-19 stop them from caring for our children and families. This is the toughest time many of us have ever faced, and the families we support are finding it especially hard. Our amazing Care Team have rallied round to make sure they are able to continue to help our families during the lockdown.
As we can’t have our annual Children’s Hospice Week party, in Horizon House (our Children's Hospice), we’re bringing this year’s celebrations to you!!
On Friday 26th June we are hosting a virtual fun day and we’d love you and your students to join us in the celebrations!
We have an amazing week planned, with daily activities which link to a full day of live, virtual events on Friday 26th June.
We'll provide each student/family with an activity pack, which includes a week's worth of fun tasks - Zoom videos teaching magic tricks, magic wand crafting, dancing tips from NI Superheroes including Spiderman and Batman, culminating in a full day of live zoom sessions of activities to keep the entire family entertained!
The full line up for a fun day includes:
· 11am - Gathering Drum - Bear Hunt Musical Session
· 1pm - Fizz Whizz Pop - Magic Show
· 3pm - Jude and Imelda's Workshop - Craft Session
· 7pm - Virtual Kids Disco
We would love it if you would share our party details with your teachers, students and their parents and of course if you and your family would like to join us for all the fun activities, everyone is welcome.
We kindly ask that a family donation is made (minimum of £10) to help us continue to care for local babies, children and young people who need it most.
Once a donation is made, an email with a link to join the day of virtual events is sent and we'll also email the downloadable party activity pack which includes links to videos and lots of activities to keep the kids and adults entertained throughout Children's Hospice Week 2020!
